The Project on the Teaching Profession Receives TÜBİTAK Support
The project led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cemal TOSUN, a faculty member of our Faculty's Department of Mathematics and Science Education, has been selected for support under the TÜBİTAK 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program. The project, titled "Improving the Teacher Appointment Process in Turkey: Identifying and Measuring Critical Non-Cognitive Teacher Qualities," aims to enhance current practices in the teacher appointment process, identify critical non-cognitive teacher qualities, and objectively measure these qualities based on different problem scenariosThe project, prepared within the scope of the 12th Development Plan's "Qualified People and Strong Families, Healthy Society" goals, which is determined as the roadmap for 2024-2028 in the 'Century of Turkey', involves competent scientists in the field. Additionally, Dr. Özge GÜN and Dr. Esra SÖZER BOZ from our faculty, will serve as researchers, and three graduate students will support the project as scholars during its 24-month duration.
